How to restore my iPad after a fail attempt on jail breaking?

A friend of mine tried to help me jail break my iPad but he failed so now i can't use my iPad, every time i plug into my iTunes or PC it only shows me the 'recharge' logo or the Apple logo, how do I restore everything to normal?? Anyone pls help, Thank You

notebookpro 		What you did to your ipad is you "bricked" it. Its no different then a piece of bread now. Thats why people who don't know much about jail breaking shouldn't be doing it, and if they still go on they should be aware of the risks.

Mohbsoo 		Why not have a try the ipad to computer transfer, which is specially designed for ipad users to copy or back up ipad stuffs such as songs, movies and etc.

pdaguys 		If you can reinitialize the os than you can get it back to a factory state. Bricking just refers to throwing the original UNIX file structure into an unstable or unusable state.
It's not like you fried anything inside. Anything can be reinitialized. Go find someone who is competent with Linix or Unix system administration and thaey can get it up and running for you in a few hours tops.

notebookpro 		plug it into your computer, open up iTunes, select the device on the gray bar to the left, click "restore"
