Does the iPad work like a lap top with word and spreadsheet?

I have been interested in iPad, but I would like to give up my laptop. But I need to download spreadsheets and pictures and word. Will I be able to do this? Thanks for anyone who can help.

Macbookproblems 		Not very well.

The iPad has limited software available and a poor user interface for data entry combined with the limited ability to transfer data and print.

Perhaps consider an Ultrabook. These combine the light weight, compact size, instant on, and multitouch capabilities of a Tablet with the power of a traditional laptop. The ASUS UX21, the Samsung 900x1b, and the MacBook Air are all 11" laptops that will blow away the iPad in terms of performance but are not very much larger.

pdaguys 		I have on idea about this, but according to my friend's recommendation, you can copy your ipad stuffs such as sons, movies to your computer by using an ipad to computer transfer, istonsoft ipad to computer transfer is a goode choice for us, you can have a try!.

Macbookproblems 		Yeah, you can download iWork which like microsoft office to windows. Hope it can help you.
