Macbook problems, please help!?


So it seems like there's a multiple amount of problems wrong with my mac, I could use some help fixing them.

The problems are the following

1. My Mac seems to have locked onto the function keys, now whenever I do something like press the volume button, it uses F12 instead, how do I set it back to normal.

2. My Mac seems to highlight random apps or boxes on the computer, say it's name, then proceed to "Talk" in that robotic voice about it's functions, is there any way to get rid of this?

I've tried restarting the computer, but that hasn't helped. Please, can anyone figure this out! I would like an answer other then "Take it in to the apple store."

Mohbsoo 		1. System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab. Uncheck "Use all F1...."

2. System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing. Turn off Voice Over.

If you want to go a step further and prevent it happening again, use a login password and a screen saver password. There is one chance in a million these two settings went wild because the computer has gremlins. There is a really strong chance someone just changed these settings.
