my hp laptop battery wear is 65%, is it too much? battery lasts for 30 minutes?

my hp laptop q dv6-2300 is 1 year old. it gave 1-1.5 hrs battery backup from starting. but now it doesn't even last 45 minutes. I am using CPUID HW monitor software to see my core temperatures but once i observed that battery wear is 65%. Do i need a new battery now? What should i do?

Batteries usually last about a year so having it last 45 minutes is about right. What you can try is letting it discharge down to 0 then charging it up. Do that a couple of times and you may get a bit over an hour on it.

HP only sent a six cell lower capacity battery for your dv6 notebook by default.
Laptop battery has limited life of 1-1.5 year.
It is normal as your HP battery is dying. Nothing can help you make the battery live longer.
Just get an extended 12-cell battery which can last 3+ hours

first reduce your display brightness and always use power saver mode if you want more amount of battery consumption.
plug your charger after showing low battery.
if you are play some games related to high resolution graphics then battery may consume more.

My advice would be to take it to a computer store and see if they can figure out what is wrong with it. If they can't help you then I would consider buying a new battery because the other one may be busted.
