Can I change my notebook processor?

I've Dell inspiron 14R. It has Intel core i3 processor. Is it possible for me to upgrade/change the processor to intel core i5 or intel core i7 without changing mother board or e.g? Thanks.

No, not possible, your notebook motherboard is not compatible, you would need to replace it as well and honestly, that kind of upgrade would cost almost as much as a whole new notebook.

Is it possible? Yes. Should you? No. There is really no point in adding a 200$ processor into a laptop. It would be more worth it to buy one with it. Im guessing your laptop has only 2-3 GB of RAM? I would just get a new laptop.

I see i5 processor based laptops on sale for $500 quite a bit nowadays. Processor would cost u probably 200, so why not just sell your laptop for 300 or whatever you can get for it, and just buy a whole new laptop. Guess what I'm saying is it's not really worth buying a new processor, plus I could see that probably voiding your warranty

Yes. Go to your local Best Buy/ Staples or wherever you prefer. If you want you can also upgrade it to 8GB of RAM maximum. By, the way RAM has gone down in prices. If you do buy a intel i5 or i7 processor it is going to cost a few hundred dolllars.
